To cooperate with other partners in the development of the curriculum and pedagogical materials.

To develop curricula according to criteria relevant to the needs and aspirations of Rwandan society relating to the education of Rwandan children who will be critical, well-informed, self-reliant, patriotic, scientifically aware and competitive.

To ensure that all school curricula are well-understood and effectively used by teachers.

To conduct in-service training for teachers who are involved in carrying out experiments and trials of any syllabus and to orient them on the use and exploitation of curricula and teaching materials.

Organs of NCDC

NCDC has the following two organs:

1. the Board of Directors;
2. the Management.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of NCDC is the authority which directs NCDC and which is responsible for taking decisions.
